Every year, the National Humane Education Society (NHES), our parent organization, holds several Cool to Care Camps at the Briggs Animal Adoption Center. The camps are both educational and fun, and are very popular.

This summer's camps are listed below. They are:

PET
PALS
(Rising 1st-3rd Graders)

HUMANE
HEROES
(Rising 4th-6th Graders)

ANIMAL
AMBASSADORS
(Rising 7th-9th Graders

Pet Pals will focus on responsible pet care and kindness to animals. Campers will spend time with BAAC cats and dogs, make animal related arts and crafts, and learn how to be responsible caretakers of companion animals. Campers will be provided with their own "pet" to take care of as well as participate in interactive games and activities.

Humane Heroes take kindness and caring to the next level. Campers will discover ways they can help animals as well as learn about animal welfare related careers. Campers will spend time with BAAC cats and dogs, make animal related arts and crafts, listen to guest speakers, participate in scavenger hunts, and play interactive games.

Animal Ambassadors will learn how to take action for animals. Campers will learn about various animal welfare issues and how they can improve animal welfare in their community. Campers will spend time with BAAC cats and dogs, listen to guest speakers, participate in scavenger hunts, and learn how to speak up for animals.
