The Briggs Animal Adoption Center (BAAC), and its founding organization, The National Humane Education Society (NHES) offer educational tours and programs for children throughout the year. 

The BAAC and NHES strive to impart a message of kindness and respect for all animals through hands-on activities, live animal interaction,

puppetry and more.

BAAC Educational Tours

Free to the public and offered to children's groups from Pre-Kindergarten and up!  Please click on the FAQ's link to your left for more information and to request a tour.  **If you are interested in a tour of the BAAC as a potential adopter, or interested individual or adult organization (such as the Lion’s Club), please call 304-724-6558.

NHES Education Programs

NHES is currently offering free humane education programs for schools, churches, clubs, libraries and other venues working with children that are located within the tri-state area of our West Virginia-based national office.

The NHES Education Department will travel to off-site locations to present on important topics such as basic animal care & needs, proper pet handling & approach, kindness & respect, and more.  Click here to learn more!

NHES Cool To Care Camp

Working in conjunction with the BAAC, the NHES Education Department offers two one-week educational camps each summer for children entering 4-8 grades.  Camps feature guest speakers, live animal visits, crafts, games, and much more.  Click here to learn more!
